Cheesy Brussels Sprouts Bake


Prep time 15 mins: Cook time 20 mins: Serves 6


Ingredients

1.5 tbls butter

1 small Shallots minced

1lb Brussels Sprouts

¼ tsp cayenne pepper

1/3 cup double cream

¼ cup grated strong Cheddar (such as Whooky Hole)

¼ cup Gruyere Cheese

¼ cup cooked Bacon pieces (optional)




Method

1. Preheat oven to 375°. In a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add shallots and Brussels sprouts and season with salt and cayenne. Cook, stirring occasionally, until tender, about 10 minutes.

2. Remove from heat and drizzle with cream, then top with cheddar, Gruyère, and bacon, if using. Bake until heated through and cheese is bubbly, 12 to 15 minutes. (If your cheese won't brown, heat under the grill for 1 minute.)
